“YMCA Camp McConnell is really cool.  I was excited and scared to go to camp since I did not know anyone there.  My counselor was very welcoming and by the first night I had made new friends.  There were lots of activities that I enjoyed doing like archery, dance and campfire.  I want to thank the YMCA for giving me a scholarship to attend camp; I wouldn’t have been able to go without it.  I had a great experience and hope that I can go back next year.  I want to stay longer if I can.”  Nikki, Age 14
